Savvas Kyriacou is a British Cypriot and former professional bodybuilder, personal trainer and founder of the renowned Muscleworks Gym in London, England.
Sav has assisted and instructed a number of industry greats in their professional training, including eight time Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Dean Coleman.
It was, however, only at the age of 21 that Sav started training as a bodybuilder. In 1992 Sav was crowned the South East Britain Bodybuilding Champion and was nominated as finalist in the British Championship in the under 80 kg weight class. Sav also competed for his native Cyprus. It was during this time where he won the Cyrpus Grand Prix in 1996 and 1997.
Sav retired from professional bodybuilding in 1998 to focus on his own gyms and to provide training. In 2010 more than 50% of the UKBFF men's champions trained at Muscleworks Gym.
As the proud owner of Muscleworks Gym (Bethnal Green) and Island Fitness in Enfield, London, Sav is very passionate about bodybuilding and fitness. As Muscleworks began to take off, Sav had the urge to create another gym, one with more space and facilities where anybody could have a great workout.
It’s through his personal achievements, determination and knowledge that has made Sav one the most influential presenters on The Active Channel.
