This Habit is Making You Gain Weight – Expert Warns

When you are determined to lose weight, you tend to form habits that are beneficial to you. These habits may include following a set of exercise routines, sticking to healthy diets, or even sleeping more. It is always about finding what gets you closer to achieving your fitness goals.

But when it comes to fitness, there are many good habits as well as bad ones. The tricky part about weight loss habits is that some may seem helpful but may not be beneficial long term. They are there right under our noses, but we do not notice them, and they eventually make us gain more weight. These habits become a source of frustration for those doing everything they can to lose weight. But, since these habits go unnoticed, little progress is made.

Author of The Sports Nutrition Playbook, Amy Goodson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD, stated that no one ever suspects overeating healthy foods as a source of their weight gain.

"There is a common and understandable misconception that just because something is good for you, you can eat as much of it as you want, but this isn't necessarily true for some foods," says Goodson.

Many foods are considered low in fat or sugar, are packed with beneficial nutrients, but they can make you gain weight if you do not eat them in moderation. That certain foods contain essential nutrients may be one of the reasons why many people can't explain their weight gain while doing everything possible to lose it. Because it says “zero sugar” or “low fat” is no excuse to consume it in high quantities.

"Veggies are always great, and I'd say eat as much as you want because you will likely be sick of them before you could ever eat too many calories from them," says Goodson. "However, foods like healthy fats, whole grains, and other high-caloric health foods may lead to weight gain and too many calories at the end of the day."

Now, this is not a reason to get rid of your favourite nuts, energy bars, and healthy snacks. These foods are crucial if you want to eat a healthy diet, and they will contribute to your weight loss goals if you reduce how much you are eating.

"Many nutrient-rich foods that are considered high-quality also have a good amount of calories, but this doesn't mean you shouldn't eat them," says Goodson. "It just means that you may need to watch your serving size to make sure these foods are helping you meet your overall calorie needs."

For instance, many people assume that all fats are bad, so they are eager to eliminate any food with fat from their diets. Taking this step may not be the right decision that you think it is because you do need fats, but just the good ones. Another misconception is that fruits don't make you fat. Consuming lots of fruits can increase your calorie and sugar intake, taking you back to square one or no progress at all. Because of the fructose in fruits, the brain does not relay the feeling of fullness after eating fruits, thus triggering overeating.

It always comes down to moderation. When things are done in moderation, especially when trying to lose weight, you will get the best result. If you need extra help burning the fat, LA Muscles Fat Stripper Intense will give you impressive results.
