Mike Joseph has recently returned from the World Championship in Antwerp, Belgium where he once again retained his title.
He qualified to take his place by winning the British Championships held in Bradford on 25th-26th July. He won his weight class (82.5kg) comfortably with a new World Record lift of 200kg and went on to win the Best Overall Lifter (champion of champions).
On the competition Mike says: "My weight class was the largest on the day with 23 lifters competing for the title and I had to be prepared to work hard and lift well if I wanted to retain my title. I laid down a marker by electing to lift 175kg on my opening lift (my nearest opponent opened with 145kg), my 2nd lift was 182.5 which went up comfortably and pretty much guaranteed me the title, for my 3rd and final lift I bench pressed 190kg which was another fairly comfortable lift..."
In the run up to the competition Mike had been using LA Whey 2.2KG and Explosive Creatine.
