This mighty meal, devised by Active Channel presenter and champion bodybuilder Neale Cranwell, is the ultimate post-workout meal that satisfies all your protein, carb and fat needs and is ready in just 10 minutes. Go on, you've earned it!
From Neale: “This bulging handful of man food provides everything your muscles are aching for as fast as possible. Oleic acid in avocado improves your blood sugar sensitivity speeding up the mechanism that gets amino acids and carbs from your blood into your muscle tissue. If you're starving for more than tuna and broccoli after a long day, you're only 10 mins away from some not-so-guilty pleasure food. This is one of my favourites as it helps add muscle mass to your frame instantly”.
Ingredients
Whole wheat bread, 3 slices
Avocado, sliced
Cooked chicken, 1/2 pack
Cooked bacon, 1/2 pack
Romaine lettuce
Tomato, sliced
Ham, 2 slices
Swiss cheese, 2 slices
Time to make: 10min
Directions
Toast three delicious slices. Well done. Now start building. Add the avocado, chicken, bacon, romaine lettuce leaves and slices of tomato on top of the bottom slice.Grab the second slices of good quality ham and two slices of Swiss cheese. Grill these for a minute then drop them on the loaded-up base layer. Slather low-fat mayo and mustard on the third bit of toast and stick on top.
