LA Muscle Monster Burgers
Perfect For Bodybuilders

Follow this recipe for tasty, protein
enriched, health-boosting burgers.
Once you've made them you could even invite
your friends around for a muscle-building feast.
BURGER INGREDIENTS
- 2 large
flat field mushrooms, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp
olive oil
- Sprig of
fresh thyme, leaves stripped and chopped
- 250g (8oz)
5% fat minced beef
- 2
wholemeal floury baps
- Spoonful light
mayonnaise
- Handful
rocket salad
- 1 tomato, sliced
DIRECTIONS
- Blitz the mushrooms in a food processor until finely
chopped.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and cook the
mushrooms until most of the natural water in them has evaporated.
- Stir the thyme into the mushrooms.
- Remove from the heat. Add the minced beef to the mushrooms.
Season, mix well, and then shape the mixture into two burgers.
- Cook the burgers under a preheated
grill or on a preheated barbecue for 3-4 minutes each side, until the meat
is cooked through and no pink juices remain.
- Serve the burgers in the wholemeal baps
with some mayonnaise, a little rocket and the tomato slices.
