Breakfast doesn’t have to be boring! Check out this recipe, only 4g of fat!
Ingredients:
226g Whole Wheat Flour
113g Whole Purpose Flour
7ml Baking Powder
2.5ml Baking Soda
450g Non fat buttermilk
1 Egg
15ml Vegetable Oil
1 Scoop Of Vanilla LA Whey
2 Egg whites
2 Tablespoons of Brown sugar
Directions.
In a large bowel stir Whole Wheat Flour, All purpose flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and baking soda together.
In a separate bowel whisk together the buttermilk, Egg Yolk, 15ml of vegetable oil and 1 scoop of LA Whey Vanilla. Mix all ingredients together.
Beat the 3 egg Whites with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
Add sugar and continue beating until stiff and glossy.
Whisk one-quarter of the beaten egg whites into the batter.
Fold in the remaining beaten egg whites with a rubber spatula.
Preheat a waffle iron.
Brush the surface lightly with oil.
Fill the waffle iron. Cook until the waffles are crisp and golden, 5 to 6 minutes.
Repeat with the remaining batter, brushing the surface with oil before cooking each batch.
