Legendary fighter Kimbo Slice DIES
MMA fighter and Internet star has died

Legendary MMA fighter Kimbo Slice died on Monday aged just 42. He was a friendly, charismatic, larger than life personality loved by many. His real name Kevin Ferguson, Kimbo was hospitalised in Florida and died shortly after. Originally from the Bahamas, Kimbo was 6'2 and weighed 230 pounds. He became known for his bare knuckle fights in back yards which were then posted online.
Kimbo Slice's rise to fame was anything but normal. He went from homeless, to bouncing and a stint in the porn industry before becoming a fighter. His cause of death is not yet known but it is thought that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding it. Kimbo leaves behind 6 children. RIP big man.
UPDATE: Hospital records show Kimbo needed a heart transplant and died of mass liver and heart failure. He was on intensive care and on a ventilator upon his arrival in hospital. Staff were preparing him to be put on the organ donor list but he died at 7:30 p.m. that evening. There were no reports of illicit drug use, trauma or foul play.
