Mensah Elliott's account of his recent exploits at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga, Spain.
I began the competition by winning my heats in the 100m sprints. I then came
second in the semi-finals to qualify for the finals, where I finished in 6th
place.
A week later, I was back on the track again to begin my campaign for the 110m hurdles. I won my heats comfortably in a time of 14.48s and was in the finals the following day. Unfortunately, I was beaten into 2nd place, running a slower time of 14.76s. Incidentally, my time of 14.48s places me at #2 in the world rankings for my age group.
I was then the first leg runner in the 4 x 100m relay team, where Team GB won comfortably to become the World Champions, by almost 2 seconds.
I am now taking a break before I begin my training for the next major masters championships, which are The World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships to be held in Torun (Poland), next March.
I would like to once again thank LA Muscle for their support and I hope that the products will help me see more successes in the 2019 season.
