5 Way To Better Mindfulness

Every day there are a lot of things that can negatively impact your life whether its your mood, anxiety or stress levels. These can have a lot of negative effects on your physical and mental health and wellbeing so it’s important to take whatever steps are required in order to remove as many of those issues as possible.

Here is a great list of a few different things you can do daily that you can easily add to your routine and they can have a huge impact on your physical and mental wellbeing. Give them a go!

1. Meditate

Taking even just 5 minutes to sit quietly and follow your breath can help you feel more conscious and connected for the rest of your day.

2. Slow Down

Enjoy the process, whether its writing a report, drinking a cup of tea, or preparing for a meeting. Deliberate and thoughtful attention to daily actions promotes healthy focus and can keep you from feeling overwhelmed.

3. Eat Mindfully

Eating your meal without any distractions is reported to have a positive impact on your mindset. Try and forego the TV, computer or paper in front of you and find somewhere you can truly taste and enjoy what you’re eating. It is not only better for your body, but for your mind as well.

4. Keep Screen Time In Check

With all of the media at our fingertips, we can easily be on information overload. Set boundaries for screen time with designated times for social media and other distractions and do your best to keep mobile devices out of reach at bedtime.

5. Spend Time In Nature

Take walks through a park, the woods, mountain trails or by the beach, wherever you can be outside. Getting outdoors is good for body, mind and spirit, and keeps you in the present.
