As spring is finally underway with summer in view, it's the perfect time to eat lots of one of everyone's favourite foods! Don't worry, with this healthy recipe you don't have to worry about the high calories or sugar content. We've come up with a simple and easy-to-make recipe that's low in carbs and fats and with only 256 calories per serving you won't have to wait until cheat day to have some!
INGREDIENTS
4 cups ice
2 scoops LA Whey Gold chocolate flavour
2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Optional – instead of chocolate flavour you can use LA Whey Gold mint choc flavour for mint choc chip ice cream!
Yields 2 servings
DIRECTIONS
Add all of the ingredients into a blender.
Pulse the speed from low to high speed for 30 seconds until all the mixture has come together and you're left with a smooth, creamy texture.
Note, do not do this for longer than 30 seconds as the mixture may start to melt!
When finished you have 2 options, if the mixture is thick and creamy you can put it into 2 bowls and serve. If not ready and you like it thicker, put it into a freezable container and put it into the freezer for up to an hour and you can then serve it or keep it for another time.
Enjoy!
