Chocolate brownies are a real naughty treat, ordinarily riddled with sugar, but Dean Burchell has rustled up a superb healthy alternative recipe, and we'd go as far to say that they taste EVEN BETTER! Moist, chocolatey AND high in protein, what more could you want? Try them out for yourself and share the photos of your creations on Twitter and Instagram.
1. Soak the dates in water over night.
2. Pre-heat the oven to 175 C (fan).
3. Blend all of the ingredients together from beetroot to egg (first section above)
4. Melt honey and chocolate squares in a pan.
5. Combine the blended ingredients to the melted chocolate honey, mix well and add the chocolate drops and seeds.
6. Grease a cooking pan with butter and pour the mixture into the greased pan and bake in the centre of the oven for 30-40 minutes.
7. Cut into squares and enjoy these delicious protein brownies!
