Preparation: Ensure all ingredients are washed and prepped. For those new to using avocado in a shake, the creaminess it provides is akin to a banana but with the added benefits of healthy fats.
Blend: In a high-powered blender, combine the avocado, pineapple chunks, cucumber slices, protein powder, chia seeds, and honey or agave syrup (if using).
Add Greens and Liquids: Introduce the almond milk, fresh spinach or kale, lemon or lime juice, and ice cubes to the blender.
Blend Again: Start blending at a low speed, gradually increasing to high speed. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Taste and Adjust: Give your shake a quick taste. If it needs more sweetness, you can add a bit more honey or agave. If it's too thick, add a little more almond milk to thin it out.
Serve: Once you've achieved the desired consistency and taste, pour the shake into a glass. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of Himalayan salt on top and give it a quick stir. This might sound unusual, but a hint of salt can enhance the flavors and provide trace minerals.
